Robbins, along with others, was honored for her service and received the newly designated honor “the Secretaries Award”. Barbara A. Robbins was killed in the bombing of the U.S Embassy in Saigon, Vietnam on March 30, 1965. Barbara, 21, was working as a secretary at the embassy when a terrorist detonated a bomb next to the embassy. Taylor was the U.S. ambassador to Vietnam when Barbara was killed. (Photo by Joanna B.
